A empresa descobriu um rombo de R$ 20 bilhões

A Americanas comunicou oficialmente ao mercado, neste sábado (14), que entrou com um pedido de Tutela de Urgência Cautelar em Caráter Antecedente na 4ª Vara Empresarial da Comarca do Rio de Janeiro. A medida já havia sido divulgada na sexta-feira (13).

Após a descoberta de um rombo de R$ 20 bilhões em suas contas, a empresa recorreu ao instrumento jurídico para obter proteção contra credores que queiram antecipar o pagamento de dívidas.
O juiz Paulo Assed, da 4ª Vara Empresarial do Rio de Janeiro, concedeu uma tutela cautelar para suspender vencimentos antecipados e efeitos de inadimplência da companhia.
Após essa decisão, o Tribunal de Justiça do Rio de Janeiro (TJRJ) deu 30 dias corridos para a Americanas entrar com pedido de recuperação judicial. O processo corre em segredo de justiça.
O pedido da Americanas se deu porque as inconsistências contábeis da ordem de R$ 20 bilhões comunicadas pela empresa podem levar ao vencimento antecipado de R$ 40 bilhões em dívidas, segundo alegação da varejista ao TJRJ.
“Essas inconsistências, na avaliação das Requerentes, exigirão reajustes nos lançamentos da Companhia, o que poderá impactar nos resultados finais divulgados nos respectivos exercícios anteriores, com alteração do grau de endividamento da empresa e/ou volume de capital de giro, implicando, por via reflexa, no descumprimento de “covenants financeiros” previstos em contratos, inclusive estrangeiros, acarretando o vencimento antecipado e imediato de dívidas em montante aproximado de R$ 40 bilhões”, consta na decisão do juiz.

Na quarta-feira (11), no início da noite, o mercado financeiro nacional foi surpreendido com a informação de que a Americanas, uma das gigantes do comércio varejista brasileiro, divulgou um Fato Relevante, anunciando que descobriu um rombo de R$ 20 bilhões em suas contas.
O comunicado, assinado pelo presidente executivo da empresa, Sérgio Rial, que estava no cargo havia apenas 15 dias, afirma que foram detectadas “inconsistências contábeis” ligadas a contas de fornecedores. Sérgio Rial renunciou à presidência da empresa
